Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before using ServQ's services.
1. Definitions
- "ServQ" / "Platform" โ ServQ home services platform operating at servq.in and via WhatsApp.
- "Customer" โ Any individual who books a service through ServQ.
- "Service Professional" / "Gig Worker" โ An independent individual engaged by ServQ to fulfil service bookings.
- "Services" โ Home services including Safai (cleaning), Karigar/Mistri, Beldar, Loading/Unloading, Painting, and AC Service.
- "Booking" โ A confirmed service request accepted by ServQ.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use ServQ as a Customer.
- You must be located within ServQ's active service areas in Jaipur (Pratap Nagar, Jagatpura, and surrounding areas).
- By using our services, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information during booking.
3. Service Booking
3.1 How to Book
- Bookings can be made via the contact form on servq.in or directly via WhatsApp (+91 94146 56262).
- Provide your name, phone number, service type, preferred date/time, and service address.
- A booking is confirmed only when ServQ sends you an explicit confirmation message (via WhatsApp or SMS).
3.2 Booking Accuracy
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate service location details and access instructions.
- ServQ reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings that cannot be fulfilled due to inaccurate information.
- The customer must ensure that an adult (18+) is present at the service location at the scheduled time.
4. Pricing & Payment
- Pricing is communicated to the customer at the time of booking confirmation and is inclusive of labour charges for the specified scope of work.
- Prices are transparent and fixed โ no hidden charges. Any additional costs (e.g., extra materials, extended time) will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
- Payment is currently made directly to the Service Professional upon completion โ in cash or UPI.
- ServQ does not currently charge a platform fee to Customers.
- Prices may vary based on job complexity, distance, and material requirements. Final pricing is confirmed before service commencement.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Cancellation by Customer
- More than 4 hours before scheduled time: Free cancellation. No charges apply.
- 1โ4 hours before scheduled time: A cancellation fee equivalent to 25% of the booking value may apply for certain services (AC Service, Painting, Karigar).
- Less than 1 hour before or after Professional has arrived: Full booking value may be charged as a cancellation/late cancellation fee.
- To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or call us during business hours (8 AM โ 8 PM).
5.2 Cancellation by ServQ
- ServQ may cancel a booking due to unavailability of a suitable professional, safety concerns, or force majeure events.
- In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered an alternative time slot or a full cancellation without any charge.
5.3 No-Show by Customer
- If a customer is unavailable at the time of service without prior cancellation, the booking may be marked as a no-show.
- Repeated no-shows may result in service restrictions on future bookings.
6. Nature of Relationship with Service Professionals
Important: Service Professionals working through ServQ are independent contractors / gig workers, not employees or agents of ServQ. ServQ acts as a technology platform and marketplace that connects Customers with Professionals. ServQ is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or negligence of Service Professionals beyond what is covered by our Warranty Policy.
- ServQ verifies, trains, and monitors Service Professionals to maintain quality standards but does not employ them.
- Customers may not directly hire, retain, or solicit ServQ-affiliated Professionals for independent work outside the ServQ platform for a period of 6 months after a ServQ booking.
- ServQ Professionals are not authorised to make commitments, warranties, or representations beyond what ServQ has officially stated.
7. Customer Obligations
- Provide a safe, accessible, and appropriate work environment for the Service Professional.
- Do not ask Service Professionals to perform work outside the agreed scope without prior approval from ServQ.
- Treat Service Professionals with respect and dignity. Harassment, abuse (verbal or physical), or discrimination will result in immediate service termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
- Do not share ServQ Professional contact details with third parties.
- Ensure pets are secured and children are kept away from the work area for safety.
- Remove or secure valuables before the service if concerned about safety โ ServQ Professionals are verified but customers should exercise reasonable caution.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use ServQ's platform to:
- Book services for illegal purposes or activities.
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Engage Service Professionals in activities that violate applicable laws.
- Attempt to bypass our platform by directly contracting with our Professionals.
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with our website.
- Defame, harass, or threaten ServQ staff or Professionals.
9. Limitation of Liability
- ServQ's total liability to any Customer for any claim arising out of a service shall be limited to the amount paid by the Customer for that specific service session.
- ServQ is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
- ServQ does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform or service at all times.
- In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics), ServQ's obligations are suspended for the duration of the event.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on servq.in โ including text, logos, graphics, service descriptions, and code โ is the intellectual property of ServQ and is protected under applicable Indian copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from the website without prior written permission from ServQ.
11. Reviews & Feedback
- Customers are encouraged to provide honest feedback and ratings after service completion.
- Reviews must be factual and respectful. False, defamatory, or malicious reviews may be removed.
- ServQ may use customer feedback (anonymised) for quality improvement and marketing purposes.
12. Amendments
ServQ reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India.
- Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation or mediation.
- If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- For consumer complaints, Customers may also approach the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Jaipur.
